The Pennsylvania Southeast Business Assistance Center will be officially accepting applications to our first ever microgrant program from October 1st – November 15th. This program will award successful applicants with grants in an amount of $2,500 to $5,000 to support historically disadvantaged business in our community.

The Path to the Microgrant
Step 2.
Applicants MUST receive assistance from our Center via one-on-one consulting or attending an educational training event to be eligible for this Microgrant.
Step 3.
After completing the requirements and confirming eligibility, you can apply for the Microgrant. Applications will only be accepted during official submission periods.
Program Details
The Southeast Business Assistance Center Microgrant Program provides microgrants to eligible historically disadvantaged businesses in Southeastern Pennsylvania. This program will award an estimated 100-200 grants in an anticipated amount of $2,500 to $5,000 per awardee to support historically disadvantaged business in our community.
These microgrants are designed to equip entrepreneurs with the resources, strategies, and tools needed to grow their businesses, improve performance, and navigate the path to success. The microgrant funds do not require repayment and may be used for a variety of business-related expenses that support growth.
The first grant window is expected to accept applications from October 1st – November 15th. After a thorough review process, successful applicants should expect their award letter by January 1st, 2027
Eligibility
To be considered for the Microgrant Program, small businesses must meet ALL of the following criteria:
To qualify for the Microgrant Program, businesses must first be defined as a historically disadvantaged business.
For purposes of the Pennsylvania Southeast Business Assistance Center Microgrant Program, a historically disadvantaged business is a for-profit business that is at least 51% owned or controlled by one or more socially or economically disadvantaged individuals residing in one of the following Pennsylvania counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, or Montgomery County.
What is a Historically Disadvantaged Individual?
Historically disadvantaged individuals may include, but are not limited to:
• Persons with Disabilities
• African Americans
• Hispanic Americans
• Veterans
• Women
• LGBTQ+ Individuals
• Asian Americans
• Pacific Islanders
• Native Americans
• Other individuals with documented barriers to accessing financing
Be a for-profit business that generates 51% of your revenues and files tax returns in either Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia County.
Received either one-on-one assistance or attended an eligible training event from the PA SEBAC in the last 6 months.
Applicants must be actively operating and have fewer than 100 full-time employees at the time grant funds are awarded.
More information such as official business documents, financial statements or projections, and government issued identification may be required.

• Repayment of Existing Debt
• Payroll Taxes
• Previously Paid Interest
• Previous Financial Charges
• Political Activities
• Religious Activities
• Lobbying Services
• Fines, Penalties, or Legal Settlements
